Hydrocyclones
Pressure-fed dense-medium cyclones for coal separation based on particle density.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Particles in the dense-medium suspension respond to gravity and centrifugal forces. Particles denser than the suspension move outward toward the cyclone wall, while lighter particles move toward the central air column.
Dense material forms an outward spiral flow toward the underflow, while lighter coal follows an inner upward flow toward the overflow. The catalog also discusses secondary separation effects near the overflow outlet.
The brochure describes a comparatively simple structure, practical operation and high separation capacity. Performance depends on feed conditions, medium density and the selected cyclone size.
PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS
Particle density relative to the dense-medium suspension determines movement toward the outer wall or central flow.
Inlet pressure is specified for each model. The listed pressure range is an operating input for selection, not a pipework pressure rating.
The schedule lists both coal throughput and medium flow so the cyclone can be reviewed as part of a complete preparation circuit.
