Hydrocyclones
A two-stage dense-medium cyclone system using gravity-fed raw coal and pressurized medium for staged separation.
WTMC 500/350–1500/1100Price, quantity, lead time and payment terms are confirmed in your quotation.
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Qualified dense-medium suspension enters the first-stage cyclone tangentially under working pressure. Raw coal enters axially from the top under its own weight, which is the pressureless-feed aspect of this arrangement.
Under centrifugal action, heavier material moves toward the wall and leaves through the underflow into the second stage. Lighter material moves toward the air column and is discharged through the overflow.
The first-stage underflow carries a more concentrated and coarser medium into the second stage, creating the medium-density conditions for further separation. The catalog compares second-stage operation with a general DSM-type two-product cyclone.
PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS
Raw coal enters by its own weight; the dense medium still enters under a specified working pressure.
First-stage underflow feeds the second stage for further separation of the heavier fraction.
Each WTMC model lists both first-stage and second-stage diameters together with feed size and throughput.
