PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Construction.
Function. Application.

The ceramic is produced with alumina as the main raw material and rare-metal oxides as fluxes, fired at high temperature to form a hard corundum working surface. The catalog describes bonding this ceramic to a prepared metal substrate.

Ceramic pieces protect the areas exposed to abrasion while the outer metal construction supports the assembly. Adhesive, lining pattern and any rubber layer are selected for the duty of the specific component.

The product family includes lined pipework and non-standard elbows, tees and hoppers. Specify the actual geometry, wear zones and installation interfaces when requesting a quotation.

PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS

What defines this product.

01

Hard ceramic working surface

The catalog gives a Rockwell A hardness of 80–90 for the high alumina ceramic. This is a ceramic property, not the hardness of the supporting steel shell.

02

Wear protection for conveying equipment

Applied to coal and material handling, pulverizing, ash removal and dust collection equipment exposed to abrasive particles.

03

Relatively light lining material

A catalog ceramic density of 3.6 g/cm³ allows the lining weight to be considered separately from the steel assembly.

04

Bonding and heat resistance

A heat-resistant adhesive is described for 350°C service. The complete assembly must be reviewed against the actual temperature and duty.

05

Project-specific component shapes

Straight sections, elbows, tees and hoppers can be discussed against drawings and replacement requirements.
